Alexander Dumble built just three original MegaPLX™ amplifiers, each with its own unique specifications and interpretation of the “mega plexi” concept. In fact, the last amplifier that Alexander ever built in its entirety was MegaPLX 005, now proudly owned by the Dumble Preservation Society.

Now DPS is proud to announce our latest MegaPLX™, a reissue of the original serial number 0003, also owned by the DPS team. Built using many NOS components from Alexander’s personal inventory, our new MegaPLX™ faithfully recreates the sound of that extraordinary original amplifier.

This musical monster is powered by a matched pair of EL34 tubes, which are complemented by hand-wired "eyelet" circuit boards. And as proof of our fastidious attention to detail and authenticity, the 5-piece chassis features historically accurate wood, yes wood, chassis end-plates! Just as Dumble originally built it.

Enjoy the hand-wired Dumble tube experience with one of the rarest of them all: the Dumble® MegaPLX™. Want to taste and try before you buy? Check out the Dumble® MegaPLX™ digital Plug-In, available now for download.
